Herb Gast, 94, died Feb. 12, 2013, in Lubbock, Texas.
He was born Aug. 17, 1918, in Webster, S.D.
Surviving are his wife, Beryl, of 68 years; and his three children, Noel of Washington state, Keith of Lubbock, Texas, and Judy of Michigan.
Herb was a World War ll veteran who proudly served his country.
Herb and Beryl lived in the Mat-Su Valley for many years and have many friends here who will miss him.
Services were through Combest Funeral Home in Lubbock, with viewing there on Feb. 14 and services on Feb. 15 at First Baptist Fort Chapel.
