Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Isabelle Hugar, age 99 passed peacefully in Prospect, Connecticut on September 5, 2016. Isabelle was born on March 13, 1917 in Karthaus Clearfield, PA. She was a coal miner’s daughter, the late John C. and Jeanette (Price) Hugar. She is preceded in death by her husband John Francis Borisuck of Palmer, Alaska. They were married 70 years. Six brothers Charles, Paul, Norm, Wilber, Andrew and Lee Hugar, and a sister Connie Albert are deceased.
Isabelle is survived by her three daughters Penelope B. Senta and her husband Michael (Palmer, Alaska); Jacqueline B. Welle and husband Paul (West Chester, Pennsylvania); Gretchen Usawicz and husband Edward (Naugatuck, Connecticut).
She leaves eight grand children: Tasha Florez (Bainbridge Island, Washington); Thaddeus Chmielewski (Anchorage, Alaska); Heather Lee (Palmer, Alaska); Heidi Watson (Downingtown Pennsylvania); Nathan Welle (East Fallow Field, Pennsylvania) John Welle (West Chester, Pennsylvania); Gretchen Young (Honey Brook, Pennsylvania); Isobel Usawicz (Red Hook, New York); Jacob Usawicz (Hackettstown, New Jersey). Also, ten great grand children Mateo and Julian Florez, Tiana and Jaxson Lee, Sophia and Charlie Watson, Ivan and Xavier Usawicz; and Izabelle and Sophia Chmielewski.
Isabelle was a creative homemaker and also worked and retired from UniRoyal, in Naugatuck, Connecticut. She had a quick wit, an infectious smile, and a delightful sense of humor. The family will celebrate her life at a later date.
