Wasilla resident Jack Bass, 73, died Oct. 1, 2010, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
No prior visitations or services at the convenience of the family.
Born March 16, 1937, in Dennison, Texas, he became a resident of Alaska in 1965, first living at Moose Pass, then at Coopers Landing in the 1970s, Moose Pass again in the 1980s, Petersburg in the 1990s, then in Bellingham, Wash., and moved to Wasilla in this past decade.
Jack was a truck driver and hauled most of his life. When he retired, he loved his garden and enjoyed music. He will be missed by all his family and his music will never be forgotten.
Jack was preceded in death by his children, Timothy Ray Bass, Sarah Catherine and Samuel Taylor Bass, and brothers, Kenny and Sam Bass.
He is survived by sons Danny Bass of Fort Worth, Texas, Jim Bass of Anchorage, Bobby Bass of Chickaloon and Tommy Bass of Eklutna; and daughter Angel Hvibernick of Seward.
