Jack M. Shuttleworth

Jack M. Shuttleworth, 88, died Dec. 22, 2012.

He was born in Michigan on Sept. 25, 1924, and died in Texas, but his heart was in Alaska.

His 88 years were filled with adventure, whether it was at Harding or Healy, the battlefield or baseball field, coaching or casting, leading or listening.

Nothing was more important to Jack than loving his wife, Babette, and his four children, Steve, David, Debra and Gina, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Thank you for all who knew him and played a part in his eventful journey. One of his favorite songs by Jimmy Durante was “Young at Heart.” That’s how he lived, and that’s how he died.
