Wasilla resident James “Jimmy-Jack” August Della Silva, 22, died Aug. 11, 2011, at Saint Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage.
Visitation is at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory of Wasilla from 1 to 3 p.m., Aug. 19.
James was born March 29, 1989, in Anchorage. He loved fishing, camping, dancing with his sisters and friends, and singing his favorite songs, especially Lady Gaga.
James was preceded in death by his cousin, Tommy Smith; and grandmother, Bonnie Alexie.
Surviving are his father and mother, James and Minnie Della Silva of Wasilla; sisters, Bonnie and Michelle Della Silva of Wasilla; paternal grandfather, James H. Della of Huntsville, Ala.; maternal grandmother, Doris Wilson of Las Vegas, Nev.; maternal grandmother, August Alexei of Anchorage; maternal great-grandmother, Anna Alexi of Bethel; and lots of aunts and uncles in both the Della Silva and Alexie families.
Jimmy-Jack will be missed and is loved by a lot of people.
