Palmer resident James Thomas “JT” Barrett Jr., 55, died peacefully March 24, 2011, at his Palmer home with his loving partner and friends.
A private celebration of life and memorial service is April 2.
JT was born Sept. 29, 1955, to James Thomas Sr. and Marjorie (Roberts) Barrett in Hollywood, Fla. He became a resident of Alaska in 2000. JT served in the occupation of a carpenter, but his passion was fishing, hunting and camping.
Preceding him in death was his father James Thomas Barrett Sr.
He is survived by his loving partner, Leah Blackman; mother Marjorie Barrett of Florida; sister Sandra Pardue; brother and sister-in-law Dean and Linda Barrett; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Tom Tolbert; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Jackie Barrett; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Edward Suggs; and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home and Crematory.
