Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Jane Elizabeth Gallik, 86, died peacefully at home April 18, 2013.
Jane was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to Wasilla in June 2010.
No services are planned at this time. Memorial donations can be sent in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerald Pendergrass of Wasilla; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Diane Gallik of Connecticut; grandsons, Hiram (Maiko) Pendergrass of Palmer, Jerry Pendergrass of Alaska, Douglas (Lisa) Gallik of Connecticut; granddaughter, Darlene (Tim) Thompson of Connecticut; great grandsons, Everett Thompson, Ethan Thompson of Connecticut, Hatcher Pendergrass of Palmer and Douglas Gallik of Connecticut; great granddaughter Makayla Gallik of Connecticut; and sister, Marjorie Marsh of Vermont.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Natalie and Frank Zimmerman; brother, Frank Zimmerman; husband, Douglas Gallik; and grandson, Douglas Pendergrass.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Resources of Alaska, 1750 Abbott Road, Anchorage, Alaska 99507.
Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory.
