Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Jared Clayton Davis, 34, died Sept. 17 in Wasilla.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Colony Ward, across from Colony High School in Palmer.
Jared was born July 9, 1975 in Portland, Ore.
He graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 1994 and Avtec Tech School for Electrical in 2003 and was employed as a journeyman electrician.
Jared lived in Juneau from 1991-1997 and Wasilla from 1997-2009.
His hobbies were RC cars, motocross, fishing and spending time with family.
Jared was a wonderful father, husband and friend. He will be missed by all of us.
Jared is survived by his wife Katrina C. Davis, daughters Ariel Jean-Starr Skoog, Kayla Kristine Davis, unborn son Jared Clayton Davis, Jr, “JJ,” all of Wasilla, mother Debbie Davis-Middleton, brothers Jeremiah Davis of Wasilla, Michael Davis of Vancouver, Wash., sisters Liana Gulzow and Jessica Davis both of Vancouver, Wash., various nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jess Davis.
In memory of Jared Davis, a memorial fund has been set up at Wells Fargo, acct# 5307283647.
