Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life at 5 p.m., Oct. 23 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 501 Bogard Rd., Wasilla.
Jeremiah was born May 22, 1998, in Anchorage, and raised by his parents John and Bonnie Parret. He attended Colony High, Service High, and was currently a sophomore at Wasilla High School. He worked part time at Carrs of Wasilla.
Jeremiah ran cross country and track, played football, and was a proud member of AK SCTP. He was recognized by Spirit of Youth, and was chosen as an author in the second edition of “With These Hearts and Hands” written and published by students at Colony Middle School.
Jeremiah touched a lot of lives with his infectious smile and kind heart. He had such a big personality, which drew people to him. He found pride in helping others, extending friendship, and entertaining. Nothing made him happier than to make others laugh and feel important. He was a champion for the underdog. Some people collect things, Jeremiah collected friends.
Jeremiah is survived by his parents John and Bonnie Parret of Wasilla; his sisters Anna and Burgandy, both at home, brother and sister in law Gregory and Elizabeth Parret of Anchorage. He leaves behind his grandparents Lorriane Hausman of Anchorage, Gloria Parret of Anchorage, and Jack and Shari Doyle. Additionally he is survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and countless loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his biological father Sean Doyle, Grandfather Jack Parret, and Great Grandmother Catherine Doyle.
