Jesse J. Cornelison

Jesse J Cornelison, 45, passed unexpectedly on Monday, August 19, 2024 in Wasilla, Alaska.

Jesse was born on July 23rd, 1979, in Pocatello, Idaho to Floyd and Judy Cornelison. He was an adventurous child always making friends wherever he went. In 1999 he met his future wife, Aunalee Tangedahl at Wasilla Lake. They were wed in a small ceremony on March 17, 2006. They welcomed two children Ashlynn Lorraine and Dylan Dean.

Jesse was a hard worker, running heavy equipment and as a crusher operator. He enjoyed working in remote locations all over the state. He loved “bending the earth to his will.” Jesse will always be known for his infectious laugh that could be heard a mile away. He loved to sing and play guitar. He was an avid skier and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Aunalee Cornelison, daughter Ashlynn Smoldon (Isaac), son Dylan Cornelison, mother Judy Cornelison, brother Forrest Cornelison (all of Wasilla) as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jesse was preceded in death by his father Floyd Dean as well as many other loved ones. A memorial service will be held September 21, 2024, 2-4pm @ The Best Western, Wasilla.
