Palmer resident Jill M. Ashing, 64, died July 2, 2012, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center from causes related to multiple sclerosis. A celebration of life is at 2 p.m., July 7 at Kehl’s Palmer Chapel with the Rev. Todd Roeske officiating.
Jill was born July 17, 1947, in Ketchikan. She graduated from Copper Valley High School in 1965, and attended the University of Fairbanks where she received her associate’s degree in business administration.
Her hobbies included ceramics and knitting. She always liked to plan family events, travel and shop for her family.
Surviving are her husband, Earl Ashing of Palmer; sons, Travis Ashing of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Gavin Ashing of Palmer; sister and brother-in-law, Barb and Al Sanders of Copper City; grandson, Odin Anderson of Palmer; granddaughter, Hailey Ashing of Palmer; daughter-in-law, Amy Ashing; niece, Katy Sanders of Anchorage; nephew, Ryan Sanders of Anchorage; and grandnephew, James Wright of Anchorage.
Arrangements are with Legacy Kehl’s Palmer Chapel.
