Joshua Richard Lewis, 30, died in Hatcher Pass unexpectedly on Feb. 17, 2013.
A funeral service is at 11 a.m., May 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a graveside service to follow at Fort Richardson National Cemetery with full military honors.
Joshua was born Aug. 24, 1982, in Casper, Wyo. His family moved to Alaska in 1985. Josh was a proud Catholic Christian.
Joshua graduated Wasilla High School and attended at University of Alaska Fairbanks. He served in the military from Jan. 31, 2007, to Nov. 23, 2011, with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Joshua was very artistic and enjoyed role-playing games with family and friends. Joshua had a happy, light, boyish humor and will be missed dearly by all.
Surviving are his mother, Katherine Sinclair of Big Lake; father, Michael F. Lewis of Lander, Wyo.; two brothers; two sisters; and lots of extended family.
Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory.

Floyd Wilbur Jensen, 87, of Willow, died May 17, 2013, at his son’s home in Willow. Services will be held at a later date. Valley Funeral Home in Wasilla is caring for arrangements.
