Judith “Judi” Faye Barton

Judith Faye Barton (74) passed away peacefully in the presence of family on June 17th, 2021. Judi was born July 3rd, 1946, in Marysville, California to Homer and Mable Hughes.

She met Keith Barton Sr. in November 1973 and they were wed three years later on November 15th, 1976. Together they raised six children.

Judi was a vibrant woman whose legacy was always family first. She was notoriously known for putting everything on hold and making it all about kids and family – a true matriarch. With Judi, even their children’s friends from school, 4-H, Scouts, as well as all the other neighbor kids were considered family. Most lovingly referred to her as Mom. She was a surrogate mother to many young kids (as well as many youthful adults). She was heavily involved in 4-H; she and Keith hosted and attended various camps and events for over 30 years. She was involved in her church, and often organized and volunteered in church craft bazaars. Judi enjoyed hobbies such as horseback riding, quilting, scrapbooking, and sewing.

Judi touched lives in many ways. She will be forever remembered for her huge heart and fighting spirit. Through the years Judi maintained relationships that eventually stretched around the world. She seldom forgot a birthday, special occasion, or life event for that special someone, lovingly blessing them with a handcrafted gift. She thought of others no matter where she went, whether it be traveling Australia, or cruising around the Bahamas with her husband Keith in their retirement. Judi’s outgoing, upbeat and loving spirit made the world a more vibrant place, full of love, happiness, and joy.

Judith is survived by her husband, Keith; her children, Jayde, Keith, Sean and Amanda; her grandchildren, Sarah, Cameron, Chevelle, Rainy, Zachary, Charlize, and Harrison; as well as many adopted children and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and godchildren.
