Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Judy Ann Hermon, 57, died Feb. 2, 2013.
A celebration of life is at 1 p.m., Feb. 13 at Lazy Mountain Bible Church in Palmer with graveside services at Pioneer Cemetery in Palmer.
Judy was born on Feb. 5, 1955, in Denver, Colo., to Floyd and Josephine Ehmann. In 1961, Judy moved with her family to Alaska, where she resided since. She worked for the Mat-Su Borough School District for many years. She also enjoyed her work in the civil construction field.
Judy enjoyed being outdoors with her dogs Annie and Lincoln, spending time with her friends and family, fishing and cooking. She was a proud grandmother who loved watching her grandkids participate in sports and activities and teaching them life l essons. Judy attended Church on the Rock in Palmer and always tried to show others Christ’s love through her actions.
Surviving are her mother, Josephine Ehmann; father, Floyd Ehmann; Sam Hermon Sr.; daughter, Leslie Trader and husband Corey; son, Sam Hermon Jr.; daughter, Stephanie Hermon and husband Mike Badger; grandchildren, Kyle Trader, Jaden Trader, Emilee Badger, Lilly Badger and Sophia Badger; siblings, Butch Ehmann and wife Shari, Cheryl Deland and husband Ben, Joey Ehmann and wife Linda; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers were Sam Hermon Sr., Sam Hermon Jr., Mike Badger, Jim Ehmann, Butch Ehmann Jr., Tom Deland, Tim Deland, Kyle Trader and Jaden Trader.
