Kasey Marie Halan (Lynch), 44, of Trenton, North Dakota, passed away and flew into the loving arms of our Lord on Thursday morning, Oct. 6, 2016 at the CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Medical Center in Williston.

Kasey blessed the world with her amazing personality when she was born to Archie and Connie (Turcotte) Lynch on May 30, 1972 in Williston. She grew up in Trenton where she was quick to care for and laugh with two younger sisters, one younger brother, and many cousins and friends. After graduating from Trenton High School, she attended UND-Williston where she met the love of her life, John Halan. The two later married on October 12, 1995 in Mountain Home, Idaho. The Catholic marriage ceremony took place on June 6, 1996 at St. Joseph’s.
Kasey had an amazing love for children and working with them. In recent years she was a paraprofessional at Head Start, Hagan School and Trenton School and loved every minute of it. After many unsuccessful attempts at starting a family of their own, Kasey and John were finally blessed with a baby boy, Liam Drew, whom they were in the process of lovingly adopting. From the moment Liam entered her life, it was difficult to ever find Kasey without a gigantic smile on her face. She so loved being a mother and sharing everyday activities with Liam whether it was just a walk in the snow, playing in the sprinkler, or helping him dress up and go trick or treating for Halloween. Being a loving and adoring mother was very important to Kasey. Kasey had an amazing spirit about her, which permeated into all around her. She was quick to help anyone in need and brightened everyone’s day with her unique sense of humor. Kasey relished in cooking and baking for everyone. She was the fun, crazy auntie to all her nieces and nephews.
Kasey is preceded in death by her paternal grand-parents, John and Marie Ann Lynch; maternal grand-parents, Robert and Emma Turcotte; special aunts, June Falcon and Fee Moran; special uncles, Larry Turcotte and James Turcotte (godfather) and many other uncles, aunts and cousins.
Kasey is survived by her husband, John, and son, Liam; her mother and father, Archie and Connie Lynch (Trenton); sister, Kelli Barman (Ray), her husband, Ryan, and children BreeAnn, Dawson, Taylor, and Landon; sister, Karmen Olmsted (Bismarck), her husband, Doug, and children Sid, Ike, and Ivy; brother, Kirby Lynch (Williston), his wife, Jocelyn, and children Mataelyn, Nolyn, and Gracelyn; mother-in-law, Judy Halan (Wasilla, AK); brother-in-law, TJ Halan (Wasilla), and his daughter, Jasslyn; sister-in-law, Kay Wilborn (Clearwater, FL), and her husband, Craig, and children, Christy and Zach; And many other family and friends who were truly blessed to have Kasey in their lives.
