Keith Kellogg Moore entered into heaven on Feb. 18, 2018 at home, surrounded by his family. He was 86 years old. Keith was born in Seattle Washington December 15, 1931 to Harold and Katherine Moore. He was one of seven siblings. He attended Bothell High School but received his GED to graduate early enlisting into the Army. He served in the Naval Reserve 1949-1950 and enlisted in the Army 1951-1953. Keith served in the Korea War, where he received Letter of Commendation May 1952 and many letters of Appreciation for his service. Keith married Shirley Shepherd March 7, 1951. This year would have been their 67th Wedding Anniversary. They lived in the state of Washington in the early years. Then in 1974, Keith and Shirley embarked on a great journey and brought their 5 children to Alaska. Keith was an entrepreneur of many trades. He loved to work with his hands, whether working in construction, farming his “Alaska Red Eyed” potatoes, or working on a couple Gold Mines in Alaska, he was a man who lacked idleness. He had a whistle in his step no matter what the task, and no task was to big. Quoting Pastor Dwayne Guisinger “He was good for Alaska as Alaska was good for him.” Keith had the trip of a lifetime one year ago. He was given the privilege of being chosen to participate in The Last Frontier Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Keith is survived by, his wife Shirley Moore, son, Scott Moore (wife Debra) and Douglas Moore, his daughter, Heidi Gwinnell (husband, Michael) daughter-in-law April Moore, daughter-in-law, Karen Moore. Keith is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brother Wallace (Wally) Moore (Yvonne) and numerous nieces and nephews. In his immediate family he is preceded in death by his sons, Michael Philip Moore, and Keith Andrew Moore.

There will be a Celebration of Life / Potlach held at Sunny Knik Chapel in Wasilla on March 3, 2018, 1 p.m. Pastor Dwayne Guisinger will be officiating. Please bring a dish and a story to share.
