Kenneth Bert Stumpf
Kenneth Bert Stumpf passed away on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at his home on Lazy Mountain. He was 62.
Ken was born on June 17th, 1959 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His love of the outdoors brought him to Alaska shortly after graduating high school. He held many occupations during his life including bus driver, laborer, carpenter, and log home builder. He was a man of many talents, skills, and abilities. Ken had an incredibly warm heart toward his family, friends, and neighbors. He loved having his friends at his house for card games, bonfires, watching NASCAR races, and rooting on his beloved Green Bay Packers. He was known as “Grumpy Stumpy” because the opposite was true, he would always find the humor in everyday situations and loved to tell jokes. His absence is felt greatly by his family and the community of Lazy Mountain.
Ken is survived by his sisters, Cindy and Amy; his children, Robert, Lucas and Rachel; and grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, and Maisie. He was loved by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on June 18th on Lazy Mountain. If you would like to attend, please contact Lucas Stumpf at 907-320-0035 for details.
