Passed away on June 30 at home with his family by his side.
His life will be celebrated at Saint Michael Church in Palmer on July 13 at 1 p.m. A potluck reception will follow the service.
K.C. was born September 3, 1944, to Kenneth and Dorothy Christensen of Kennebec, SD. While attending South Dakota State University, he met the love of his life, Charlene. They were married October 2, 1965. He spent two years in the army, loved ranching and
Farming in SD, moved to Alaska in 1982 spending his time working for the Experiment Station, Job Corp, and as a hyperbaric technician. Raising cows and ranching was his passion, but raising and supporting his family was his life’s goal.
K.C. is survived by his wife, Charlene, and children: John, Clinton (Ginger), Anne McCabe, Sara (Mark) Burley, Amy (Corey) Roberts, Nancy (Adam) Tellier, 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, brothers: Robert (Alice), Joe, Curt (Laurie), Sister, Mary Shawn, Sister in Laws; Kathy Evans, Julie (Larry Wright), Kathy Christensen and Valerie Christensen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Eric and Chris, nephew: David, and foster grandchild, Jacqui.
