Larry Edwards Sr., 64, passed away April 30, 2010, surrounded by his family. Larry was born Sept. 16, 1946, in Modesto, Calif.
He served four years in the Navy. Although trained as a surveyor, Larry spent most of his adult life living in the Bush on the Yentna River as a “Jack of all trades” and truly enjoyed every moment. Larry was a man who whole-heartedly enjoyed his family, had a great love for animals, believed in always making the best of what you had and always looked for the fun in whatever situation he faced. He was a man of deep Christian faith who lived his life to the end by trying his best to do what God gave him for the day and letting God pick up the slack. He will be remembered as a man of his word who always jumped in when a hand was needed.
Larry Edwards Sr. is survived by his loving wife, Cammeron Edwards; daughter, Kim Voehl; sons, Larry Edwards II and Jesse Lee Edwards; father, Kyle Edwards; brother, Jerry Edwards; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nephews, nieces and countless close family friends.
Services will be held Thursday at Wasilla Community Church, 701 S. Seward-Meridian Parkway in Wasilla at 4 p.m.
Flowers may be sent to Wasilla Community Church.
