Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Lauren Lorraine Wiggins, 23, passed away at a home in Anchorage on March 6, 2014.
A memorial service is at noon, March 17 at Anchorage City Church, 1301 West 100th Ave., Anchorage. A potluck-style reception will follow at the church.
Honorary pallbearers are John A. LoPresti, John M. LoPresti, Benjamin Wiggins and Kirk Fisher.
Lauren was born Sept. 30, 1990, in Olympia, Wash. She moved to Alaska with her family in December 2001. She lived in the Mat-Su from 2001 to 2009 and Anchorage from 2009 to 2014. She graduated From Palmer High School in 2009 and went on to receive a certificate of completion from Trend Setters School of Beauty. Lauren passed the Alaska state examination and held a current hairdressers license. At the time of her passing, she was working for Great Clips at Dimond and Victor and was starting a new skin care business with Nerium A.D.
Her hobbies included hairdressing, makeup, modeling, music and all things “beauty queen.”
The family stated, “Lauren was a beautiful soul who held her loved ones dear and close to her heart. She always strived to make others feel beautiful, happy and loved. A city-girl, whose love for traveling and experiencing the finer things in life motivated her to place effort to advance in business. Lauren left us with many fond memories and her joyful presence will be missed.”
Lauren is survived by her mother, Anna Wiggins; sisters, Alexandra and Isabelle Wiggins; brother, Benjamin Wiggins; grandfather, John A .LoPresti; grandmother, Belva Lynagh; aunts, Laura LoPresti and Denise Luikart; uncle, John M. LoPresti; and cousins, Jessica Richardson and Laiklyn Luikart.
