Lawrence R. Arvila, 66 years of age, died in his home on Jan. 3, 2017, in Wasilla, Alaska, after fighting a long health battle. He was born Sept. 13, 1950, to Raymond & Arlys (Hutchins) of Louis County, Minnesota.
He is survived by his brothers, Paul Arvila and Robert Arvila; his wife Suzann Arvila of 11 years; and his 2 sons Larry and his wife Kirsi Arvila; and Michael and his wife Kellie Arvila; and his grandson Blake Arvila.
Larry “Dad” is a Vietnam veteran, an underground miner and has worked several mines all over the South West and Alaska. He loved the outdoors and woodworking. Services have not been planned at this time. Dad will be greatly missed.
