Lee Carmichael

Lee Carmichael passed away on January 30, 2022 at his home in in Big Lake.

Lee was born in Tucson, Arizona on May 5 to Ancel and Anna Carmichael. Lee spent his childhood and young adult life in California. There he graduated from Cupertino Union high school. He then went on to further his education at several California colleges at which time he also joined the US Coast Guard where he became a machinist.

Lee’s favorite way to spend his day in California included surfing, skateboarding, motocross and scuba diving among other extreme sports.

Lee was very passionate about his dogs and teaching them to hunt wild boar. The love for his dogs led him to making his own business where he made dog daypacks.

In 2008 Lee longed for a change of scenery and moved to Alaska where he would start his Alaskan life with his nephew Jayson and his family. Years later he went on to meet his girlfriend, Dana Watkins. Lee left behind a daughter, Kendra Goin; brother, Bruce Carmichael; his nephew, Jason Gobel; his Great nephews, Tyler and Tanner Gobel; and girlfriend, Dana Watkins. Lee was always happy and fun to be around and will be forever missed.
