She’s a fighter, not a quitter: Tara SweeneyThis is an exciting time for Alaska. We can elect a new Congresswoman for all Alaska: Tara Sweeney. Alaskans have less than two months to try to get to know 48 different candidates before the June 11 special primary election deadline. Sometimes it’s not what you know, but who you know. I know Tara very well. She is smart, hardworking, loves to fish, generous with her time, and is fiercely loyal. Tara will make a fine congresswoman. She has an impressive resume as a former collegiate rugby player; former Assistant Secretary of the Department of Interior for Indian Affairs; a former executive at Arctic Slope Regional Corporation; a Cornell graduate; a mother of two grown children, and a wife of nearly 25 years. The most fun I’ve had with Tara is fishing off the shores of Larsen Bay, or on the Naknek River. Tara loves Alaska and she understands our diverse challenges, opportunities, and needs. The next several weeks will be fast and furious. This election season will be a crazy political science experiment with three election dates: June 11, August 23, and November 8. Please mark your calendars to ensure you get to vote! Ballots for the June 11 special primary election are in the mail now! Keep your eyes peeled and join me in voting for Tara Sweeney.
Important dates to vote: June 11, special primary election; August 16, special general election, and regular primary election; November 8 regular general election.

Time for a changeI’ve been hearing for years now, that is time for Lisa Murkowski to clean out her desk.
The reasons are many, but, the deal breaker for me, is that Lisa is pro abortion, and her opponent, Kelly Tshibaka is not. And, Lisa seems to be more democrat than republican. There will be no confusion with Kelly. Lisa voted with dems in her vote against Judge Cavanough and voted with dems in favor of Judge Brown Jackson, who may be well qualified, but, nominated by President Biden based solely on race and gender which Lisa agreed with. Lisa voted again with dems to impeach Donald Trump on the bases of which was later determined a witch hunt and had a false premise. Trump got ANWAR for Alaska, something Lisa never could get done. Does that mean she is jealous of Trump rather than work hand in hand with him for Alaska? Many feel Lisa is a lapdog of Joe Biden and a back room deal maker with Pelosi . No one will ever think that of Kelly. I’ve been a friend of Lisa’s for years however, with the challenges our country now faces and Lisa’s history, I agree, its time for a change.
