Linda Ann Lenoir, 62, died Aug. 19, 2012, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer.

Linda was born April 1, 1950, to Prescott and Margaret Lenoir. She married Dean Fritz on Feb. 29, 1984, and they were married for 28 years.

Linda attended La Vega Grammar School and Robinson High School before obtaining her bachelor’s degree from the University of Guam and master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Alaska. She worked as a police officer, correctional officer, family clinician, social worker, businesswoman and adjunct instructor for University of Alaska Anchorage before retiring as an adult probation officer for the Alaska Department of Corrections in 2006

Linda’s passion was rescuing exotic birds and raising cats, dogs, chickens and ducks. She shared her affections with all creatures, especially those in need. She enjoyed collecting antique candlesticks and making homemade cards and gifts for her countless friends. She loved to tell stories and had a quick wit she willingly shared with everyone.

Surviving are her husband, Dean Fritz; and brother, Larry Blackman.

Her husband wishes to thank Dr. Natalie Beyeler and all those who cared and prayed for Linda during her last months.
