Linda Den Bleyker, 78 years of age, passed away while surrounded by her family Tuesday evening, May 16, 2017 at the Eaton Community Palliative Care in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. She has looked forward to and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Linda was born in Holland, Michigan on Sept. 28, 1938 to Albertus and Blanche Hester Riemersma. She met and married Marvin Den Bleyker at age 16 when they began their 62-year marriage together.

Linda had a lifetime of service as she supported her husband’s calling to ministry. While Marvin attended LeTourneau University in Texas in the Missionary Tech program, she served as a nurse’s aide at a local hospital. She continued to serve others and Jesus Christ when she and her family moved to Alaska upon graduation where they began ministering at Victory High School, a native mission boarding school. She lived and served the people and mission faithfully for over 46 years as their ministry evolved into new and expanded adventures.

Linda is survived by her husband, Marvin Den Bleyker and their three children: Marlin Prins with her husband Doug, Mike Den Bleyker with his wife Marva, and Marsha Wood with her husband David. She has 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Lazy Mountain Bible Church on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 7 p.m., located at 16005 E. Shawn Dr., Palmer, Alaska. 99645.
