Linda Anselm of Willow AK passed away December 29th, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Anchorage from stage 4 lung cancer.
Linda was born 11/30/42 in Alabama to John and Mildred Rickles. She married Raymond Anselm in 1968, and in 1970 they moved to Alaska following pipeline work, finally settling in Willow. Linda was very involved in her community, cooking at the Willow Community Center, working the election booths, or at the Capitol Speedway on weekends.
She retired from the school district in 1995 and spent her retirement enjoying her garden and grandchildren.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond. She is survived by her children, Michelle Lewis m. Charles of Anchorage AK, Michael Anselm m. Cheri of Fairbanks AK; her stepchildren, Miles Anselm m. Bernadean of Missouri, Dara Anselm of Florida; and her grandchildren, Danielle, Shayne, Shantyle, Heidi, and Kyle.
A memorial service will be held in the Willow community this summer, exact date and time to be announced.
