Linda Feak

Wasilla resident Linda Sue Feak, 54, died Sept. 30, 2007, at home.

A funeral will begin noon Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Anchorage, 616 W. 10th Ave., with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery with Luke Kerr, pastor of Maranatha Full Gospel Fellowship, officiating. A wake will follow at the home of her brother Robert. Pallbearers will include Robert Ostrom, Richard Pederson, Ronald Pederson, Mike Curtis, Jason Croskrey and Paul Wellong.

Feak was born Dec. 4, 1952, in Woodstock, Ill., to Irene and Clifford Ostrom. She moved with her parents to Alaska in 1955 and graduated from Lathrop High School in 1972, the same year she was married to Dennis Bottorff, the father of her three children. In 1990, she moved to Wasilla, where she married James Feak.

Feak was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She managed several day care centers and was a mother and homemaker. Her passion was the ocean, and she enjoyed camping, fishing and the great Alaska outdoors. She enjoyed and collected figurines, particularly frogs.

Feak was generous, kind and enjoyed helping others. Her greatest joy was her children.

Feak is survived by her husband of 17 years, James Feak of Wasilla; parents Roy and Irene Pederson of Anchorage; daughters Heather Bottorff of Los Angeles and Sarah Bottorff of Seattle; son Matthew Bottorff of Anchorage; brothers Robert Ostrom and Richard Pederson of Anchorage and Ronald Pederson of Fairbanks; sisters Barbara (David) Wright of Fairbanks, Carol (Mike) Stauffer of California and June (Mike) Curtis of Fairbanks; granddaughters Ashley, Aliiyah and Tylen; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Ostrom.
