In memory of:

Linda Lee Milby

August 1951-September 2021

Linda Lee Milby passed away peacefully in her home after a seven-year battle with cancer on September 30, 2021. Her beloved husband Bob was at her side.

Lin was born in Keene, New Hampshire on August 14, 1951, to Frank and Eva (Moore) Molesky. She graduated from Mt. Eden High School, Hayward, California, in 1969.

Lin came to Alaska with her son, Tony, and worked in insurance and then later excelled in Real Estate earning her Brokers License. This is where she met Bob Milby. They lived and worked on the farm in Palmer where Tony and Michelle (Bob’s daughter) graduated Palmer High school in 1988. Lin and Bob went north to Fairbanks with Rob (Bob’s son) and she became an employee for Carlile Transportation in 1989. She worked with them for 29 years!

Over her years at Carlile, she was very influential because of her extraordinary work ethic and excellence of character which affected everyone who encountered her.

Lin and Bob were married in 1991 and always seemed to have that connection of true soul mates. They exemplified the kind of love we all hope for and strive to find.

Lin loved the dream house that Bob built for her. She loved entertaining and celebrating the holidays where the kitchen was always full of laughter and great cooking. All her family and friends remember the wonderful Easter Treasure Hunts, Huge Thanksgiving meals, and beautifully decorated Christmas trees with all her little Elves to watch over her.

Her gardening and flowers were the envy of many a neighbor. She enjoyed working with stained glass, creating garden stones, beautiful Alaskan birch bark baskets, quilting, canning and preserving the garden harvest. She and Bob would process their own meat from the hunting and had freezers of meat that was always shared.

She and Bob had a cabin up north and loved their time there. Many a campfire was enjoyed while overlooking the Matanuska Glacier. They filled the cabin walls with pictures of adventures from over the years. They kept horses for trail riding and hunting with no shortage of amazing stories.

Lin loved Arizona and has extensive family there. Traveling in the motorhome was a favorite of hers and just the ticket to soak up the warm weather to survive the long Alaska winters.

Lin is preceded in death by her father Frank and her mother Eva and Gaylord (S.O.), Vern Fisher of Kenai, her brother Frank Molesky, her sister Sandra Clark, and grandson Cody Green.

She is survived by her husband Bob, son Tony and grandsons Aaron and Hunter Molesky of Palmer, Alaska. Her brother Thane Fisher of Kenai, Alaska and his son Tyler Fisher of Washington. Michelle Green, Rob Milby and grandson Porter Milby of Washington, and Ken Luster of Wasilla, Alaska. Adam Schwartz of Palmer Alaska, Tonya Stewart and Shannon Everett of Arizona. Teresa Molesky and Frank Molesky of South Dakota. Her sister, Eva (Beab) Schwartz and Stacy Schwartz of Arizona.
