Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Linda May Frank, 69, died Feb. 26, 2012, at home in Wasilla.
A celebration of life in honor of Linda is at 1 p.m., March 17 at her Wasilla home, 6310 Settlers Bay Drive.
Linda was born May 21, 1942, in Pendleton, Ore., to George and Cordelia (Cluphf) Boze.
Linda graduated from Ferndale High School in Washington and enlisted in the United States Army in 1960. After serving her country, Linda moved to Alaska in 1975. Linda worked as both a bookkeeper and cashier in the accounting and retail industries. Linda was active in her community and was once the Alaska Jayceette’s president and also a member of the American Legion in Bellingham, Wash. Linda enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading.
The family wrote, “Like all good grandmothers, she loved her children and grandchildren very much and cherished her time with them.”
Preceding her in death were her sisters, Nancy, Alta and Debbie.
Surviving are her loving husband, Robert Frank of Wasilla; daughter, Margaret of Pasco, Wash.; son, Dan of Anchorage; step-daughter, Marie of Wasilla; brother, George of Missouri; brother, Mike of Washington; sister, Rae Lynn of Ohio; and sister, Robin of Texas; eight grandchildren in Pasco, Wash.; four grandchildren in Anchorage; and two great-grandchildren in Pasco, Wash.
Valley Funeral Home and Crematory cared for the family.
