Linda Sieler, 60, of Palmer, Alaska, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 30, 2018, after a battle with cancer.

Linda was born in Tacoma, Washington on January 19, 1958, relocating with her family to the Anchorage area just prior to the 1964 earthquake. After attending Bartlett High School she worked as a dispatcher for the Alaska State Troopers for 15 years. In 1991 she moved to Palmer with her two sons and accepted a position at Matanuska Electric Association, where she raised her family and worked until her retirement in January 2018.

Linda will be remembered for her bold sense of humor and larger-than-life laugh by all who knew her. She was a talented quilter and longtime member and volunteer for the Valley Quilters Guild. An avid reader, she was rarely seen without a book nearby, helping to instill a love of learning in her children and grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her children, Brandon (spouse Brandie) and Waylin Sieler; her treasured granddaughters Liberty and Aryanna; her siblings Marty Sieler (spouse Brandi), Cindy Richmond (spouse Gordy), Elizabeth McKechnie, Dale Ann Gates (spouse Eric), and Darrell McAllister (spouse Mariesa); and her many friends that she considered family. She was preceded in death by her parents Sue and Jack McKechnie.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to your local library, food bank, and/or blood bank.
