Loretta Lee Love, 28, died March 11, 2012, at her home in Big Lake.
Her family invites family and friends to a celebration of life service in her honor 11 a.m., March 31 at Faith Bible Fellowship, 14159 West Hollywood Road, in Big Lake with Pastor Ethan Hansen officiating.
Loretta was born Feb. 4, 1984, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Greg Love and Christina Corgiat. In the early 1990s, the family moved to Alaska. She attended Nine Star in Anchorage and graduated in 2004. She was employed in medical billing for Dr. Cusak’s office. Loretta and her brother, Neil, left Alaska to spend time with their dad, Greg. While living in Florida she worked at a law office. In 2010, Loretta moved back to Alaska, living with her mother, Christina, in Big Lake.
Living with cancer for more than five years was very stressful. Loretta coped with the stress by drawing and coloring. She loved spending time with her family, and especially helping her younger brother Joseph with his schoolwork.
“During the years of battling cancer, she never lost her smile or her love for life,” her family wrote. “Her courage in battling cancer was that of a superhero.”
Surviving are her father, Greg Love of Jenson Beach, Fla.; mother, Christina Corgiat of Big Lake; brothers, Neil Love of Jenson Beach, Fla., and Joseph Cato of Big Lake; grandfather, David Corgiat of Modesto, Calif.; grandmothers, Marianne Middleton of Tulalip, Wash., and Donna Love of Fresno, Calif.; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Cremation Society of Alaska in Anchorage. An online guest book may be signed at alaskacremation.com.
