Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Lorri Fahy Hutto Hildreth, 48, of Wasilla, died Aug. 24, 2010, at Alaska Regional Hospital surrounded by her family after a long, courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
A graveside service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at Valley Memorial Park, Mile 12.8 Old Glenn Hwy., Butte, with Pastor Tommy Leonard III officiating.
Lorri was born Feb. 26, 1962, in Grants Pass, Ore. She moved to Alaska in the summer of 1962. She graduated top of her class from East High School in 1980. She graduated from Charter College with an accounting degree.
She was a member of New Season Christian Center. She enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, working on diamond willow and music, and loved going to the Alaska State Fair.
Her family stated, “Lorri was the type of person that would give anyone the shirt off her back. She was very giving and very caring. She loved to cook and always made too much food! She loved the outdoors, making Alaska her permanent home. She will be sincerely missed and her memory will carry on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.”
She is survived by her husband, Mark Hildreth of Wasilla; sister Lana (Armando) Gonzalez of Anchorage; niece Jennifer Schmid of Anchorage; nephew Brandon Schmid of Anchorage; grandnephew Jadeus Premo; grandniece Maliyah Schmid; father Larry Dean Hutto of Delta Junction; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ramona Fahy Grimes and grandmother Edith Hutto.
