Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Louise (Lou) Joyce Rule, 83, left this life Oct. 23, 2013, at home with her family by her side.
She struggled with kidney failure, cancer and heart disease for a lengthy time. Celebration of life will be planned for the family.
She was born at home April 14, 1930, near Bonham, Texas, to Robert and Annie Wilson. She later worked as a bookkeeper and nurse in west Texas. She had lived in Alaska 18 years to be near her children.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sandra, Gail and Kathy; seven grandchildren; more than 20 great-grandkids; and about 14 great-great-grandkids. She lived around friends in Anchorage. She is missed by many.
