Luke Austin Whaley went to meet his Heavenly Father on February 18th 2023. He joins other loved ones in eternal rest including his loving mother, JoEllen Whaley; grandparents, Sterling and Delores Whaley, John and Alva Baker and cousins abroad. He left behind his Father, Stephen Whaley; siblings, Seth, Stevie, Jessica, and Amanda; many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many, many friends.
Luke loved God, the church, his country, his family, his friends, outdoor adventures, movies and Superman (not necessarily in that order)
He loved to snowboard and live life. Many will always remember how when he walked into a room his smile and eyes of ocean blue lit up the room. Friends will remember his laugh and silly antics and again Love for Superman. When introduced to new people they quickly got a hug and were then considered a friend, I don’t think the word stranger was in his vocabulary. He looked at life with the innocence of a child and his love of children made him one of the best uncles.
Luke went to school in Utah to get his degree and become a massage therapist to help take the pain away from others. He was very proud of his profession and went on to work as a massage therapist at a chiropractic office.
Among his many amazing talents was his love for writing and entertaining others.
Heaven gained an Angel but the world was left with a dark hole as Luke will be missed by so many. His family and friends all will remember how hard he loved and how incredibly big and generous his heart was. We will miss you, Lukie.
A funeral will be held Wednesday March 1st, 3:00 pm. At the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints 9475 E. Bogard rd. Palmer, AK.
