Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Madilynne Nevaeh Christenson, 8 weeks, passed away at home on Dec. 21, 2013, in Anchorage.
Celebration of life is 1 p.m., Dec. 30 at Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning Ave., in Wasilla. Pastor Gary Oathout will officiate.
Madilynne was born Oct. 17, 2013, in Wasilla to Christina (Rasmussen) and Shaun Christenson.
The family wrote: “Madilynne’s birth was the best day of our lives. She brought us joy and unconditional love in our hearts. She filled our days with loves and smiles. She was a happy and smiling baby from the time she woke-up until the time she went to bed. Her brief presence blessed our lives and taught us a thing or two. She will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts.”
She is survived by her loving parents, Christina and Shaun Christenson of Anchorage; uncle, Ryan Rasmussen of Talent, Ore.; uncle, Reid Rasmussen of Anchorage; grandparents, Roger and Debbie Rasmussen of Wasilla; aunt and uncle, Jill and Jason Christenson of Wasilla; aunt, Stephanie Christenson of Wasilla; cousin, Austin Tresham of Wasilla; grandparents, Jesse and Leslie Christenson of Henderson, Nev.; great-grandmother, Beverly Christenson of Henderson, Nev.; and numerous cousins, great aunts, and great uncles.
