Margaret F. Augustyniak

Margaret F. Augustyniak, 51, passed away Sept.. 25 at her home in Wasilla. Margaret was born on June 3, 1958, in Chicago to Frank and Helen Martinez.

To her, life is an adventure and she explored the world with child-like interest. Her love of life was only surpassed by her generosity. Though little it was, she gave what she had. She gave gifts and helped others in any way she could to express her love. She left us so quickly without being able to say her goodbyes. If given the chance she would have wanted to express to family and friends, “I love Alaska and cherish the friends that I have made here. Bonnie; I loved you like a mother. Charli; you helped my spirit, I’ll miss you. Tracy; I love you as my sister. God bless all of you..”

Margaret is survived by daughters Jennifer Lynn Slodysko and Shannon Elizabeth Kiel and sons Michael Jerome Kiel and Matthew Jerome Kiel, along with two adopted sons Jonathan and Joseph; three grandsons, Daniel, Nicholas and Osiris and two granddaughters, Briana and Olivia.

Her ashes will be returned to her children in Virginia and scattered at a later date.

Arrangements for the family were made by Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wasilla.
