Margarete Berta Rissi

Longtime Palmer resident Margarete Berta Rissi passed away September 23, 2022, in her home. Margarete was born August 18, 1943, in Switzerland to Margarete and Walter Tanner. She moved to Alaska and married Pete Rissi June 1965. As a widow, she re-married Eino Kuoppala October 1995.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hall and son-in-law Gregory Hall; four grandchildren: Tiffany Timm, Brittany Bell, Caleb Hall and Isaiah Hall, and four great-grandchildren: Trystan, Vincent, Joseph and Margaret Rose.

Margarete lived a strong independent life, enjoying gardening, rock hunting and long walks. A Celebration of life will be held at Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning Ave., Wasilla, on October 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
