Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Maria Williams, 78, went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2016. She was born June 5, 1937.
She is reunited with Clarence, her husband of 40 years; and granddaughter, Samantha.
Marie’s remaining family include sons, Dale, James (Bobbi) and Timothy; her grandchildren, Jeanne, Jeremy (Kristen), Natalie (Chris), John (Rhiannon), Timothy Jr., Anthony, Bret and Courtney; and her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Tawnie and Brayden; sister, Sophie Nicholas; and many other family members within Alaska.
Marie enjoyed her time as a Central Supply Technician in the O.R. Department of ANMC before her retirement. Along with her husband, they pastored Abundant Life Chapel.
Her numerous friends and family members throughout Alaska and across the U.S. will cherish the memory of her kindness, honesty, helpfulness, humor, laughter, and giving nature. Her smile and laugh could light up a room. She loved bingo, jigsaw puzzles, fishing, berry picking, meeting new people, and making friends.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 28 at Chrisma Life Ministries in Palmer.
