Palmer resident, Marilynn Louise Weber, died peacefully at home on Feb. 2, 2019 after her courageous battles with lung/brain cancer and related dementia. She passed while in the loving care and presence of her daughter, 3 grandkids, and pets-Trigg & Cat Boy.

Born August 1945 to Samuel and Phyllis Seitz, she was the second of three children. Younger brother, Charles and older sister, Janice rounded out the Seitz family.

As a youngster, Marilynn already LOVED the outdoors, riding horses, competing in the 4H Livestock Program, and compassionately adored all animals, often rescuing any critter she found in need.

In 1965, while working at Wigwam department store. She and co-worker, Ron Weber, fell in love and wed in October 1966. In ’69 they welcomed son-Scott, and in ’71, daughter-Shanda.

In 1983, Ron worked for AK Commercial Co, and the Weber’s were transferred to Alaska, arriving in their Palmer home on February 2,1983. Marilynn bravely embraced Alaska living, and horse keeping through her best friend, Pam Swift. She dove in to Scott’s baseball games and Shanda’s horse shows, and working for H&C Feed. She volunteered for MANY organizations from 4-H to Farm Bureau.

She was a talented horsewoman-winning awards in barrel racing, roping, and showing western and dressage. She delighted in the lifestyle and shared this with her daughter. She spent 20+yrs at Animal Food Warehouse/Pet Zoo; she adored her job and took great pride in doing it well. She loved her co-workers and her customers dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents-Sam and Phyllis Seitz, sister-Jan Bruns, and the love of her life, best friend, and husband-Ron Weber.

She is survived by her son, Scott Weber, wife- Meg, and grandchildren-Cole, Hunter, and Sam, all of Washington. Daughter, Shanda Nipper (Weber), grandchildren Raelynn, Tanner, and Bobby-all of Palmer. Brother- Charles Seitz, wife- Diane, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a casual graveside service at Sacred Heart Cemetery off KGB/Edlund Rd. the morning of June 15.
