Mark Dodd

Palmer resident Mark Edward Dodd, 50, died May 13, 2012, at Mat-Su Regional Hospital.

Mark was born Oct. 17, 1961, in Jonestown, Pa., to Lee and Eillen Dodd.

He graduated from Astronaut High School and attended Tampa Bay Technical High School (fine arts program). He came to Anchorage in 1981, joined the IBEW and went to work for MTA in Palmer.

Surviving are his parents; brothers, David and Frank Dodd of Mims, Fla., and Kevin of Port Saint Johns, Fla.; sisters, Patricia Williams of Camp Hill, Pa., Carol Davis of Live Oak, Fla., and Amy White Titusville, Fla.; and companion of 13 years, Alex Chapple of Palmer.

A memorial service is at 4 p.m., June 2 at the Elks Club in Eagle River, 17111 Eagle River Loop Road. Food will be available from the Elks after the service.
