Martha 86, died peacefully in Orlando, Florida, December 27, 2019.
She was born Martha Jane Marling to Otis H. and Martha Adams Marling in Omaha Nebraska on September 22 1933. She attended Vinton Elementary School, and graduated class of 1951 from South Omaha High School. She attended the South High 65th class union in 2016. She also attended Hastings College. She was first a member of Wheeler Memorial Presbyterian Church. While active at Wheeler she met Henry Guinotte and was married there, June 7 1953. They remained married until her death, sixty-six years later. She lived in Palmer Alaska from 1972 until 2018. She was a member of the United Protestant Church. She was a member of the third pew gang. She volunteered at the Palmer Public library mending books for several years. She was a member of the Palmer pool ladies Swim and Trim. She was a homemaker, she loved to bake, cook, and sew. She never found a dessert she didn’t like. “Life is uncertain eat dessert first.” She was a follower of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and other word games.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother James Marling
She is survived by her husband, Henry P. Guinotte, Brother and sister-in-law George and Laura Marling, daughter and son-in-law Diana Guinotte and Vince Ibarra of Orlando, son and daughter-in-law Hank and Noël Guinotte of Palmer, grandchildren Kathryn Brown (Darren), Lauren Guinotte, Mikel Ibarra, Jon Kepa Ibarra, Eisele Ibarra, nieces Deborah Marling Mellis (Mike), Lisa Marling Kilmer(John), nephew Larry Marling (Karen).
There will be a memorial service at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Orlando, January 19, 2020 at 12PM. There will be a memorial service at the United Protestant Church in Palmer, at a later date.
