Martin Alan Moser, 37, died Oct. 28, 2008 at his Palmer residence.
A memorial Service is planned for Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. at American Legion Post 15 on Outer Springer Loop in Palmer. Dennis R. Lords will officiate.
Moser was born Nov. 11, 1970 in Spokane, Wash. After Receiving his High School diploma, he went on to become certified as an ASE certified master technician.
He came to Palmer on Sept. 22, 1978, where he graduated from Palmer High, worked at Arctic Automotive, Tony Chevrolet of Wasilla, Palmer Auto Care and was a member of Pioneer Peak Baptist Church. He also enjoyed skiing, fishing, rafting, snowboarding and spending time with family.
“ Marty was an outstanding father who loved to spend time playing with his children,” his family wrote. “He graduated from Palmer High in 1989 and worked all through high school, where he found in his many talents the ability to repair any type of vehicle. If it had an engine, he could make it run. As a master automotive technician he worked at many local shops and finally with his sister and brother in law at Arctic Automotive. His joy in life was to make people laugh. He was an awesome son and brother. As he always said, ‘this is my brother from another mother, all is Golden ’cause that’s the way we roll.’”
He is survived by two sons, Christopher and Micheal Moser; daughter Mercedes Moser; mother and step-father Nancy Wyatt-Scheuner and Tim Scheuner; sister and brother-in-law Kim and Mark Lords; nephews Marky, Zakary and Keith Lords, all of Palmer; aunt and uncle Dawn and Tom Hansel of Spirit Lake, Idaho; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
His grandmother, Thelma M. DeChenne, predeceased him in death.
Memorial donations may be made to the Moser children, 11101 E. Lupine, Palmer, AK 99645.
Moser’s ashes will be scattered at Hatcher Pass, one of his favorite places.
