Martin S. Heintzman
Martin S. Heintzman passed away at age 61 in his home on November 2, 2022, after putting up a strong fight against pancreatic cancer. Marty was born in Marysville, California on August 22, 1961. He moved around a bit during childhood but fell in love with the adventure to be had in Alaska. After graduating from Wasilla High School, Marty served in the United States Coast Guard and then had a very successful, 13-year long career as a car salesman. However, he was an entrepreneur at heart and went on to have multiple business ventures. He owned a tanning salon in Palmer, AK, later started an ATV touring business called Heiny’s ATV Adventures, and more recently built a successful hydroseeding company. Marty married Carla Heintzman, and at age 25, he had his first child, Travis. Marty later married Sarah Ellis in 1995, with whom he had two daughters, Monica and Chelsea. Although Marty was born in California, he had the spirit of a true Alaskan. He went hunting and fishing every year and took great pride in providing for his family. Marty spent the end of his life with his children and his black labs, Jethro and Nova. Marty is predeceased by his parents, Barbara and Stan, and is survived by his three children. There will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, December 26th at 2pm at the Palmer Train Depot. All are welcome to come share stories and remember the life of Marty.
