Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Marvlyn Mae Burleson, 78, of Cottonwood Shores, Texas, died Sept. 3, 2012, at the Sage Brook Nursing Home in Cedar Park, Texas.
She was born May 15, 1934, in Coleman, Texas, to Albert Buford and Ruth Carter Buford.
Surviving is her daughter, Janet Burlseon-Baxter and her husband Fred of Auke Bay; son, Gary and his wife Jennifer Burleson of Anchorage; son, Terry Shawn Burleson of Cordova; sister, Sherry Lawson and husband Randy of Austin; brother, Thomas and his wife Doris Buford of Marble Falls; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. John Brantley will officiate at graveside services and interment at 10 a.m., Sept. 7 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Burnet, Texas.
Edgar Funeral Home of Marble Falls, Texas, is in care of the arrangements.
