Mary John

Mary John, 85, died Nov. 1, 2012, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer. A funeral service is at 11 a.m., Nov. 9 at The Moravian Church, 3512 Robin St., Anchorage.

Mary was born Aug. 20, 1927. She was a hard worker. She cared very much for her family and friends. She would even go out of her way just to help them, and seeing them happy was a joy of hers. Mary loved berry picking, fishing, hunting, traveling and playing bingo.

She enjoyed sewing, spending time visiting family, meeting new people and telling stories. We will always remember her smile, laughter, caring heart and the good times we all shared with her. Mary will be truly missed. We love you always and forever.

Preceding her in death was her son, Paul John; parents, Sixty and Annie Moore; and brothers, Esau John and Evon Moore.

Surviving are her husband, Evon John; daughters, Fanny John, Cynthia Greene, Beverly Cano, Evangeline John and Vivian Seal; sons-in-law, Philip C. Seal, James Greene and Oscar Cano; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory.
