Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Willow resident Mavis Frances Mann, 89, died at home Dec. 10, 2010.
She was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Minnesota and moved to Alaska in 2005, where she lived in Anchor Point until moving to Willow with her daughter, Linda.
Mavis is survived by her sons, Robert (Carole) Mann of Anchorage, Michael (Pam) Mann of Minden, Nev.; daughter Linda (Meredith) Miller of Willow. Eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive her. She will be loved and missed by her family. Private family services are planned at a later date.
The family was cared for by Valley Funeral Home and Crematory of Wasilla.
