Valley resident, Melanie Marie Connard Nichols, 54, passed away at home on June 17, 2017 in Wasilla, Alaska.
Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Kendall Park Gazebo in Wasilla, Alaska.
Melanie was born on March 18, 1963 in Bremerton, Washington.
Melanie was the most caring and loving wife. She had a giving heart and a love for animals that is unsurpassed. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She loved outdoor activities. Melanie deeply loved her son Ben and her beloved pet Nikki.
Melanie is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Connard of Wasilla, Alaska; sisters Lois Hamilton of Wasilla, Alaska, Tammy Barnes of Eatonville, Washington, Ericka Willey of Randle, Washington; mother-in-law Joan Connard of Kingman, Arizona; sister-in-laws Cheri Forsyth of Kingman, Arizona, Shelly Connard Hopper of Kingman, Arizona; brother Tony Nichols of Mossy Rock, Washington; son Ben Barnes of Randle, Washington; step-daughters Shyanne Honea of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Shavonne Pruitt of Ardmore, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Sharon & Terry Nichols; brothers Bradley & Michael Nichols.
Arrangements were under the direction of Valley Funeral Home & Crematory, Wasilla Chapel.
