Melissa Jo Peterek, a resident of Willow received her angel wings August 5, 2014, in Calgary, Canada after being afflicted with a tragic illness diagnosed only a few weeks earlier.
The Memorials/Celebrations will be in Willow, Valdez and Shelby, Michigan.
The Willow memorial will be 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 12216 Alva Circle. Follow the yellow and lavender balloons down Long Lake Road (mile 69 Parks Highway). Dinner will be served, as well as memory sharing, music/dance, balloon release and bonfire. Please RSVP to email: 5greatsons@gmail.com.
The Valdez memorial will be Monday, September 29, 2014, 3:00-5:00 at The Civic Center Ballroom. This will be a potluck so please bring a dish to share. The Michigan Memorial will be Sunday, October 19, 2014 at The Cherry Creek Golf Club, 52000 Cherry Creek Drive, Shelby Twp., MI 48316, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will be the memorial and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. will be lunch.
In lieu of flowers her son and family has requested donations be sent to Polly Paterek at 636 South Rochester Rd., Rochester Hills, MI 48307 to help with the unexpected finances.
