As per House Resolution 8, a Sustainable Education Task Force has been seated. Members are Rep. Charisse Millett, co-chair House Energy Committee; Andy Baker, NANA member; Jerry Covey, educator; Andrew Halcro, businessperson and president of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce; Brad Keithley, business person; and David Nees, educator in Anchorage.
Alaska House Education Committee Chair Lynn Gattis and Rep. Tammie Wilson, R-North Pole/Fairbanks, will serve as co-chairs.
The task force’s first meeting will be announced the first week in August.
