Michael Barry Bywater, 68, passed away peacefully March 22, 2016, at home, in Wasilla Alaska, after a long battle with a respiratory illness. At this time, no services are to be held.
Michael was born on Oct. 2, 1947, in Missoula, Montana, and has been a resident of Wasilla, Alaska, since 1965. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force, and enjoyed flying, watching car races, fixing things, being with his family and friends.
The family reflects that “He loved those close to him with all of his heart and soul. He was a kind and gentle man who will forever live in our hearts.”
He is survived by his wife, Linda Bywater; daughters, Rene Bywater-Barajas, and son-in-law, David Barajas, Sydnee Bywater and fiancé, Nick Keller; son, Scott Bywater, and daughter-in-law, Mary Bywater; granddaughters, Megan Barajas, Stacie, and husband, Jay Vasi, Amber Bywater, Sarah Bywater, Nicole Bywater; grandsons, Matthew Bywater, Kaden Keller and Kai Keller.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s name, to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center at P.O. Box 7000, Albert Lea, Minn. 56007.
